Born in a river, dreams of the sea...

Sæl: seal in Danish, happiness in Old English, and hello in Icelandic. This name conjures dreams of sailing the sea, a happy and playful selkie that has come ashore to say hello and sing magic.

2 years ago, I was visited by a seal in a river, during a moment I was seeking renewal and guidance. She brought me a message, all the way from the sea. Seals represent emotional growth and delving into your own spirituality. For me, that means understanding and being present in my own spirit, body, and mind, as well as the world around me. Seals are also playful, loyal and lifelong mates. From that moment, I knew I wanted to be more like a seal.

This year, I decided to move away from my previous artist persona, Pearl Harvester, to create a more playful, blissful sound. SÆL feels like the perfect word to describe this rebirth. I hope you will all join me in celebrating this new beginning, which also happens to be at the beginning of my 26th year. On the Beaver Full Moon (Nov 30th), I will be launching a full website featuring photos, videos, links to my music, as well as my first new single as Sæl (produced by my friend, Michiel de Koning). I hope you will check it out once it is complete!

To mark this momentous occasion, I will be hosting a live Zoom “Release Party” on November 29th, 3pm EST. I will tell a bit more of the juicy details of my story as “Sæl” and where this transition is taking me, as well as answer any of your questions. You can literally ask me anything: about my music, my writing process, my personal journey, my favorite ice cream flavor—I am an open book! I hope to see you there ~

Love, Sæl
